About Aurel
I approach every project with a strong focus on precision, improvement and craftsmanship. The quality of our living and working environments plays an important role in our wellbeing, and when spaces are poorly designed or finished, they can create frustration and ongoing issues.
My building background began in France, where I trained and worked on a wide range of projects, from traditional European renovations to contemporary builds. This experience shaped my appreciation for solid construction, proportion and long-term durability.
After retiring as a professional athlete, I found that building and custom woodworking naturally brought together creativity, physicality and attention to detail; values that continue to guide my work today. I am a trade-qualified carpenter.
Based in the Yarra Valley, I live on a permaculture property where I continue to build, refine and create custom timber projects for my own home. This hands-on, practical experience informs every project I take on.
I take pride in delivering work that clients can rely on, use daily and enjoy for years to come.
